Nairobi Innovation Week

Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) has been held annually since 2015 and grew steadily from 700 participants at the first event to more than 2,500 in 2017.
With organizing NIW the University of Nairobi underlines its understanding of the critical role at the center of the innovation ecosystem in Kenya and Africa. The University wishes to work with as many partners as possible on a shared value platform to promote innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship in Kenya and the region.
Nairobi Innovation week brings together the stakeholders of the ecosystem to a common platform to influence innovation related policies in institutions and the country through relevant policy discussions on innovation. NIW offers presentations, workshops and hackathons to promote practical skills necessary to create innovations. Showcasing innovations by researchers, startups and organizations will give recognition to those contributing to a “better tomorrow”.
